Freddie Mac: Mortgage rates return to a 3-year low

This week, the 30-year, fixed-rate mortgage returned to a 3-year low, averaging 3.60%, according to the Freddie Mac Primary Mortgage Market Survey. Freddie Mac Chief Economist Sam Khater said although there is a tug of war in the financial markets between weaker business sentiment and consumer sentiment, the nation’s strong labor market and low rates will continue to drive home sales into the fall.
