New York’s top financial watchdog has turned its attention to First American’s security breach that exposed millions of records to anyone with a web browser. The New York State Department of Financial Services sent a letter to First American on Tuesday asking for information about the security failure that exposed more than 885 million real estate documents that included Social Security numbers, bank statements, and addresses.
